Kiarer, fka Chiara, is a media artist and designer based in Vienna, identifying with the pronouns it/its, embracing objectification as an artistic statement. Kiarer, born in Austria and raised in Italy, is currently pursuing a degree in Digital Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
After completing a bachelor's degree in Fashion and Textile Design at the Institute for Applied Arts and Design in Bologna, Kiarer worked as a graphic designer for several years. Its work has been exhibited at Schauraum MuseumsQuartier in Vienna, Studio Hanniball in Berlin, Studio Steroid in Vienna, the Museum of Modern Art Bologna, and BASE in Milan, and has been featured in Autre Magazine and RIFE Magazine.
Kiarer’s current projects explore themes such as object-oriented fanfiction, amateur narrative styles, consumer behavior and purchase histories, political inactivity, and gossip.
